A downhill flow trail with berms, S-turns, and loads of fun.

Nick Wilder

Overview

Closed Dec 15 - Apr 15 each year.

Description

This is primarily a downhill trail, so get to the top by riding up Redneck Ridge (see the ride "Redneck Ridge to Pool and Ice Rink"), or take Bellyache Road for a much easier ascent.

The beginning follows an old dirt road for a few hundred yards before the beautifully constructed singletrack begins. This was completely rebuilt and rerouted in 2013, and is an enormous improvement over the unsustainable route that went by the same name before.

This is a downhill flow trail, with berms, S turns, small jumps, and tons of fun! There are sections that can go very fast, but there are some surprise sharp turns and occasional obstacles, so be careful when you can't see far ahead. One very steep part has been turned into a luge run - you might be tempted to climb back up and repeat a few times!

Lower down, the last mile bobs up and down rollers a bit, but the fun continues with small jumps until you end at... you guessed it... the pool and ice rink.

Getting forecast...

Great new addition to the Eagle trail network! I've never seen anyone ride up Redneck Ridge, though, most ride up Boneyard or the Bellyache road. Oct 26, 2013

We rode up Redneck ridge and it is a BIG grunt but if I can do it, so can all of you. Found the Boneyard and that was so much nicer. Pool and Ice Rink is one of my all time favorites! Super fun and nice and long!! Oct 5, 2014
