Long hard climb up Lynn to earn the fast and rocky descent down Wolf Ridge
Parked at the base of Wolf Ridge
trail and headed back out on Tilgman turning left up Briery Rd for a gentle climb to the reservoir. After a short descent down Briery and crossing a bridge with guardrails on the side took a left onto a jeep road that lead to a small stream crossing and a private property sign that marked the beginning of the Lynn ascent.
The Lynn ascent starts off fairly mellow with smooth, but narrow singletrack. As it climbs 1100 feet it gradually gets steeper and more rocky with the most technical rocks about half to three quarters the way up the climb. Each section of this climb is rideable by itself, but linking them all together makes this one tough climb.
At the top of Lynn turn left and ride Wolf Ridge
back to the car. On the trail is tight singletrack. The underbrush is thick and found longer socks would have been helpful to avoid being thrashed by it as I rode. There are a few short ascents on the ridge that are a bit more technical, but a fair amount of it is on smooth to rocky trail. The final descent is pretty rocky but about halfway down it gets really flowy with nice berms and grade reversals. It also throws in the occasional rock garden before dropping you back onto Tilgman Rd.
