Description

This road begins in town by the cemetery at the end of Range Road. It crosses Perimeter Trail and begins climbing up a very steep section, the first bear, before leveling off on a section of solid rock. From there the road surface turns to dense and loose volcanic rock and begins climbing up the second bear. At the top of the ridge you descend a short distance and begin climbing the third bear. It is made up of loose pumice and ruts, so be careful.

This section tops out on Guaje Ridge, but the road continues down into Guaje Canyon on loose babyheads if you so choose. This trail is a good way to come back into town from Guaje Ridge Trail, or head down Cabra.

Rode from the south. South end is rutty. There are some steep parts for sure. Very exposed and very hot that day.
