Fallen Trees: More than 15 large blow downs to portage. Quite a mess, not a ride for the uninitiated due to all the extra work required. History

Description

The best description of this trail is that it is fun.

It features plenty of climbing although you hardly notice it. The surface is generally smooth and hard packed. There is a mix of fun downhill sections as well as winding back and forth across the side the ridge along the northernmost part of the trail.

If you hit the trail at the right time of year, there's also an entire field of delicious blackberries.

Great flowing ride through the woods and the occasional field! Watch out for poison ivy and ticks, though. 8.8mi — 1h 00m

Fun, flowy trail. Lots of winding ups and downs. I would have thought it would be very sandy, it being "dunes", but surprisingly few sandtraps! Scott Oct 19, 2015

I second what sc ja said and would like to add, that this a must ride. One of the best trails I've been on in a long time. Very flowy! 817 gain in one loop. Didnt feel like it Oct 16, 2016
