Update

This trail loops of the Indian Point trail with nearly continuous vistas off the Grand Mesa.

Description

Access this trail from Indian Point #715.

The majority of the trail is singletrack dirt about 1-2' wide. It runs though meadows with occasional segments through forest. There are many rocks throughout the trail, particularly on the southwest corner. This section is slow and technical. There are not any significant climbs or descents on this loop. The highlight of this ride is the spectacular views off Grand Mesa. You'll have views of Sneffles to the south, Grand Junction to the north, the Uncompahgre plateau and La Sal mountains to the west and the North Fork Valley to the east.

What a stellar spin. Best when linked as a nice loop. Start on CO 65 at the huge winter TH parking area. Ride Mesa Top down to Flowing Park Res. Jump on road a bit to gated Indian Pt. tr. (gravel rd) (don't get suckered into Drop Off Tr!) and ride it out to an unmarked left spur singletrack at the "stem of the lollipop" loop. I rode Flowing out and returned on Indian. Climb back up Mesa Top for a full-value ride. The trail is fun but mellow, the scenery tops the list! Sep 15, 2014
