Description

This old road is a good connector route between the Hunter Valley South trail (at the uppermost bridge over the Hunter Creek) and Red Mountain Rd. (which leads up to the northern portion of the trail network). Compared to the two other trails on the other side of the creek, this doubletrack offers the fastest and smoothest descent or climb for this part of the valley.

There are a couple old mining era buildings you can explore right next to the road. The views both up and down the valley are terrific.
