A very technical descent that could put a smile on your face! The top half was re-routed in 2017 to be more rideable

Need to Know

This is a recommended downhill-only trail.

Description

Blue Ribbon is best divided into an upper and lower section, starting at the intersection with Three Gulch Trail.

The upper section is the recommended easier climbing route to the summit of Red Hill where it intersects with Skeeter's Ridge Trail and Roller Coaster, the two descent routes from the top.

The Lower Section is a rip-roaring descent down rock ledges and tight switchbacks with small drops, rock launch ramps, and technical moves to make this a highlight of your entire ride. It's rideable by most intermediate/advanced riders, though some may need to walk a section or two.

Climbing up the lower section is not recommended. While in theory you could climb it, you would probably get dirty looks from everyone else who climbed up the recommended route, Three Gulch Trail.

Blue Ribbon has a lot of drops, but is surprisingly rideable, at least downhill!

This is a very difficult trail with very few sections where you can get into any sort of rhythm.

Snow at the upper sections, and pretty slick on the lower aspects. Hiked today
