A fire road climb to get you to nice views and the singletrack descent.

Shayne Holderby

Overview

Park is open from sunrise to sunset.

Description

This is a 2.5 mile climb up a mostly gravel fire road. It's used as a way to climb up to the summit so you can avoid climbing up the singletrack, which is usually busy with descending riders.

Start climbing at the parking area shown on the map, and proceed to the obvious gated fireroad. You'll continue climbing past three antenna towers.

There are many hikers and runners along this road - please be respectful.
