Description

This trail starts at about 10000 and climbs to a little over 12000. You'll be rewarded for your efforts with great views over Santa Fe. It's a mostly easy doubletrack with some loose rocky sections and gets a little steeper as you go up. Be careful as you descend back down - the trail is very popular with hikers.

The aspens are changing color. Expect hundreds of walkers on this road. Yes, it is a road and it is routinely used by tower maintenance staff.

All uphill grind on loose rocks with not much air, lol. Great views and great workout. Have fun coasting down, but don't wash out on the baby heads!
