Description

This is an old carriage trail that runs along the top of the famous Trapps Cliffs at the Shawangunks Mountains (Pronounced Shon-gum). Along most of its lengths there are dramatic views to the North of the Catskill Mountains. At the East end of the path it turns downhill and intersects with the Undercliff Carriage Trail, which will bring you back to the Western end.

You can also take Laurel Ledge Road or cross Rhododendron Bridge and then continue on Old Minnewaska Road or Oakwood Drive. Either of these trails continue onto the Mohonk Mountain House property.
