Description

This trail is the more difficult of the two trails in this area. The climbs and descents are fairly steep, and you'll encounter some rocks and logs as well. It's a popular riding spot for intermediate and advanced riders.

You can link this with the less technical Murray Lake Trail to make a longer loop.

88F 40% humidity bone dry trail. Popped a tire miles in. Was brutal to change mid-trail. Note to self: Green Slime is shit for bike tires.

came up from Indiana to ride this and DTE. very fun trail system. We liked the use of the terrain. there are a couple confusing spots at the intersections. especially on murray lake. there is a junction called lost trail and then found trail says to go straight. we went straight and then you come to a 3 way intersection with no more signs. we ended up turning around went on lost trail. This trail has a fair share of tricky uphill sections, but nothing unmanageable if you have a reasonable climbing gear. The downhill sections are fairly straightforward and with only a couple dangerous spots. This trail is pretty fun, but will challenge your stamina and technique a bit. I'd recommend full suspension or plus/fat tires with a hardtail for a more comfortable ride. Jun 17, 2017

I could not wait for this trail to end. The climbs are steep and challenging. The disappointing part is the descents are steep and short. I work my tail off getting up these hills and then the elevation is quickly squandered by heading almost straight down. The trail has great potential to be an awesome trail if the descents were longer and more fun. Nov 18, 2018
