This is a trail to the summit of Catamount Hill. Most riders use its lower part to get to the start of Bear Brook Extension but a few go for the challenge of climbing Catamount Hill. While it is not exceptionally steep, water bars, rock steps and roots will try to throw you off your bike. There is one short rock stair section (about 6 steps) that should be walked. Compared to Catamount Shortcut it is still the easier way to the top.
The trail stops at the summit but most riders turn left and descent on Catamount Shortcut before they get to the actual summit.
