Description

This is the main dirt road that runs from North to South in Townsend State Forest. It used to be quite washed out where it is steepest but that has recently been fixed which makes it slightly less exciting for mountain bikers.

When the gate on the South side is open cars are allowed on this road as well as connecting roads.

The ground is generally hard packed dirt and gravel with a few stream crossings that can hold water after lots of rain or in the spring.
