“A great single loop trail near Lake Hefner with moderate technical sections.”
— Brian McKay
This trail is a great way to spend an hour or so. It's a very fun trail and a lot of skill went into the construction of this one.
The trail is free.
Need to Know
This is a challenging, very tight and twisty singletrack with lots of turns, trees, drop-ins, and climbs.
NOTICE: The trail should never be ridden when wet.
There may be ticks during spring & summer and poison ivy near the trail year-round.
This is a very tight trail with thick trees and quick turns. There are also a few very short but very steep hill climbs. Some roots may require riders to dismount, but it's not that technical overall. Beginners will want to take it slow.
Take the Hefner road exit off Grand. Take a left and follow Hefner about 1.5 miles. This will take you behind the dam. After passing a treatment plant on the right you'll come to a stop light with a park on your right. Turn right at the light and then take an immediate left into the park. Continue driving back to the far west parking lot the trailhead is about 500 feet down a gravel pathway.
