A challenging, rocky, rolling trail traversing the middle section of Snowmass Mt. ski area.

Mike Pritchard

Overview

Description

This route is posted as an intermediate route on ski area maps and signs, but the rocky terrain will provide a serious challenge to intermediate riders looking to ride the trail with confidence. The route starts near the Ullrhof mid-mountain restaurant (closed during summer) on it's west side, and ends with it's meeting of the (West) Government Trail on the eastern end.

You'll cross through numerous ski slope meadows and dark timber forested sections, as well as a couple of small streams. The streams often flow heavily during the early summer season. The Espresso Trail is encountered toward the eastern end, and can provide a connection the Elk Camp area of the mountain which features lift accessed riding trails.
