Description

This trail was designed and built, by the volunteer group Toledo Free Ride, with the approval of the city of Toledo. The trail offers something for all skill levels from beginner to experienced. The trail is labeled showing easier paths vs. more difficult. All obstacles and jumps are labeled with a route to bypass them if a beginner rider wishes to skip them.

The trail is placed in a city park that runs along the Ottawa River and the Ottawa Golf course. The trail utilizes the available terrain giving a surprising amount of elevation change for this flat region of Ohio. It offers fast flowing sections along the river.

Located at the trailhead is a dirt jump / skills park featuring large dirt jumps, log rides, and a pump track.

The official trailhead is located at the tennis courts in Jermain Park.

The dirt jump area is gone...the main reason I came up here. There is an amphitheater where you can jump off some stuff though.

The trail is in great shape for fall riding. Please note that the jump/skills/pump section is in bad shape and is falling into disrepair due to the lack of funding from the city of Toledo. The mtb trail is being maintained with volunteer sweat equity and is gaining in popularity w/ mtb'ers in the NW Ohio region. Nov 3, 2014
