Fort Ord National Monument trails (and roads) are closed from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise.

Description

This is one of the boundary roads on the Fort Ord National Monument. Coming off Trail 15 bear left and look for this road on the other side of Barloy Canyon Road (there is occasional traffic). Follow this mostly gravel/dirt road to get a good gravel grind on your cross bike or to get to Trail 63. Look for some good views of the Salinas Valley to your left. After passing Trail 63 and Trail 24 you'll drop down and start seeing crop land on your left and then after passing Trail 22 (not a fun direction from here) a house and pond.

After you pass the pond it turns into a gradual up hill climb until you reach Trail 82 (look for it on your left). The road can be a bit sandy. Get ready to climb if you are headed up Trail 82. Keep going past Trail 82 and you'll end up at Jacks Road and Mud Hen Lake after going through a gate.
