Twisty fun singletrack with much different scenery since the deforestation project.

Overview

Dogs: Leashed

Description

Hobbit 1 used to be the quintessential West Mag trail - it used to twist back and forth through the forest, challenging riders who pushed the speed and leaned into the constant sweeping corners in the trail.

The trail still has the same nice flow it always had, but the deep forest has all been cut away, taking away much of the charm of this trail. Because there's less shade, the trail is dryer and dustier than before, and without the trees, it's less of a fascinating maze, and more of a twisty open trail.

But it's still an important part of a West Mag ride.
