Half way up, the mostly smooth dirt trail often becomes rockier, sometimes large scree, sometimes a few rock steps, but always rideable ~ just don't look down.
Sections that cross a ridgeline afford a break from the nervy cliffs and reveal stunning scenery.
CPT is narrow singletrack the whole way, often just 12" - 18" with a soft edge over steep drop-offs. In some sections rock walls line the uphill side and cliffs the other. Skills + nerve required.
Not the place for a wrong turn.
Some sections of the Condor Peak trail which have yet to see restoration by Lowelifes Respectable Citizens Club can be very narrow with extreme exposure.
Great views, worth the climb, downhill is a blast.
