This is looking downhill from the mockup shelter, possibly a food preparation area.
There have been a lot of landslides in this area, which is just below a landfill area run by the DPW. Inherently, there are a lot of exposed seeps and slabs of concrete. Very interesting when leaves are down.

There have been a lot of landslides in this area, which is just below a landfill area run by the DPW. Inherently, there are a lot of exposed seeps and slabs of concrete. Very interesting when leaves are down.
There is a short-very interesting section that is clearly entirely landfill from past construction projects, reminiscent of the yellow brick road.
Some kind of windwall or barricade is next to the trail, coincidentally marking a transition from flowy to technical.
Adjacent to the landfill/slide zone is a steep-sided dip and a pile of metal waste.
Some halfway thoughtful person pulled a bunch of metal trash from the landfill zone to another part of the trail and built a kind of installation. Someday, a bunch more folks will have to address any safety hazards and take it the rest of the way out.
Quick uphill after the wooden drop intersection, before descending the rest of the way down Iron Gate.
