It's not unusual to ride above (or in) the clouds on trails on the north side of Tenerife.
El Teide volcano is literally the reason you are here. Without it, there would be no Tenerife!
The trails on the south side of Tenerife offer more open views than north side trails because the forest cover is a lot thinner because of less rainfall
The clouds have erased the Atlantic Ocean a mile below, but you can still see the island of la Palma off in the distance.
