Heil Ranch. Excellent use of pavers.
The open forest gives decent shade without encroaching on the trail.
A mellow and smooth section heading up the Wapiti Trail at Heil Ranch. The trail gets rockier as you head up towards the Ponderosa loop.
Not sure if this is occupied or not. Interesting feature on the way up.
Love these little paved rollers.
The climb up is relentlessly rocky. There are no smooth lines. On the other hand, if you can pop your wheel up and over rocks, you should have no trouble with it. Always challenging, always doable.
