A lot of the trail is dictated by fallen trees...drought has killed many large trees and flowing sections are changed to accommodate large new obstacles
It's hard to capture how steep some of these short climbs are!
The path to get across flood control. He would normally have ridden this, but too many of the broken boards have exposed nail heads, and who needs a flat?
Sand...it's a fact of life in the river bottom. Some areas are too sandy for a 2" tire, but a fatbike can handle it, no problem.
An doubletrack access road to get you from the trail to the paved path you can use in case of injury or mechanical issues.
