Back to civilization. Town trail parallels Cave Creek Road. One last short steep climb and you are back on a paved road headed back into town and the great Flat Tire Bike Shop. Be sure to finish your ride with a stop at Big Earl's Greasy Eats.
Giant quartz outcrop (hence the name Quartz Trail).
Great Horned Owl nest in saguaro just off the trail.
Gate at the south entrance to Desert Foothills Land Trust preserve. Turn right after the gate and follow Town of Cave Creek Trail signss.
