Quick history,
My son and I just started, I had an old Walmart "full susp" bike that was given to me and I found another just like it on craigslist so off we go.
both function good enough to get us through the trails.
I have some chain rub that I cant seem to get tune in the front mech.
my question is, Can these cheep Walmart bikes be tuned? this is my first go at tuning so I'm wondering if its just me or the gear?

I have tried to tune this bike about ten times now and so far I have managed to get it back to the way it was before i started.
all the mechs are in good shape nice and clean no signs of damage at least what I can see. (new guy)

Hi Martin,

In my experience, super cheap bikes are not only harder to tune but they just don't stay tuned because the components aren't very good quality. You might consider trying to find some slightly better quality bikes that are still relatively cheap. Cheap Bikes is one resource for finding good bikes cheap. Good luck, and happy trails!

Best,

Keith
