Fox Float RP2 issue on a Trek Fuel EX

I recently replaced my RP2 with a new one.  It was slightly different in terms of steel vs nylon bushings but otherwise seemed to be identical.
After doing a ride I noticed that when the bike/shock is not compressed, the “triangle-pivoting” part of the frame/shock bracket contacts the vertical frame tube acting as a stop when it seems that instead of this that the shock itself should prevent frame to “triangle-pivot” contact.
Guess I need to remove that shock and compare its fully extended length to my original RP2...
Any thoughts on this appreciated !

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
