Utah: Mountain biking with a pup--where should I go?

I'm about to head to Utah with my hardtail and my pupperdog--any suggestions for fun intermediate (and scenic!) trails that have some watering holes/places to cool off the furry one?

Also, any spots I should avoid?

There is a great system of trails called the sovereign trails and that area is full of fun intermediate rides that you and your dog will love. I definitely do not recommend slickrock though, the rock gets so hot that it will burn your dogs paws and cause bad blisters and tears. The only issue with the sovereign trails is that water holes are few and far between but that is the case with most places in Moab.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
