New here - Loading MTB Project trails onto my Garmin?

I am planning a trip to San Diego next week and I want to ride some trails alone (I don;t know anyone there yet). I'll load the trails onto my Garmin (which I am purchasing today).

Is there a way to load MTBP rides so that I can follow them on my Garmin 820 or 1000? (Not shire which one I'll buy)?

Thanks

Well, you can't really load the trails on there easily, but rides, that you can do! Just go to the ride page (on the website, preferably on your computer) and look for the GPX download link. Once you have the GPX file of the route you can likely upload to your garmin.

Instructions for 820 to load gpx file: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/edgeexplore820/EN-US/GUID-50017E96-C40C-471D-BE61-3A0C09E93916.html
Instructions for 1000 to load gpx file: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/edge1000/EN-US/GUID-7E9B2540-FC7A-4233-97E3-8703987AD8E5.html

You might also be able to upload the route to garmin connect and then sync that to your GPS. Though, I'm not a garmin user anymore and don't know all the details about garmin connect.

Note: If you have a 500 series garmin, you need a tcx file instead of gpx from what I understand, so you might need some additional conversion to make it work.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
