In search of South Eastern Idaho Singletrack-XC trails -late August

I am traveling to South Eastern Idaho, Probably Craters of the Moon, Idaho Falls area as well as Sun Valley in late August with some intermediate riders for a week.  I'm looking for any information I can find about fun flowy XC trails and any primitive camping spots near trail heads.  Also, considering it might be near 90 degrees are there some places that are better on hot days because of shade or elevation.  Are we better off going to Ketchum and Boise?  We are mostly advanced-intermediate riders with two lower intermediate riders (read no 3,000 foot climbs or super techy trails with huge drops). With this group we are mostly out to just enjoy being outside and getting some exercise in beautiful locations. Since we are coming from San Diego I think we'd prefer to see some forested singletrack or near a lake or river since we ride in desert all year!  ;)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
