Does the SOS work outside cell service?: Yes. Compatible devices use cellular or satellite messaging to connect with OxR — including an iPhone 14+ on iOS 18.5+, eligible Android satellite plans, or a linked Garmin inReach, SPOT X or ZOLEO.
