Spider Mountain Bike Park

Best places to ride are Spider Mountain Bike Park. Either get a lift ride or ride to the top, either way there is some fun and flowy bike trail. Popular non-peak times are any time other than summer. In the summer, it is hot! Plan on competing with fishing and family getaways during the summer. If you do go in the summer, the best is to ride the chair in the a.m., have some mid-day fun with the family in the water sports arena, then make your way in for an afternoon ride. Or just start drinking beer in the afternoon and enjoy life with the family. Whichever you do, it'll be a good time. Ideal time is to visit any other time than the summer, because it's no secret that it is HOT in Texas between late May and mid September.

There is camping $10 per parking space. If you're pulling a small camper it'll be $20 p/night because you'd be taking up two spaces. Otherwise, there is primitive camping at $10 p/night per space. Otherwise, there is great lodging at Thunderbird Lodge which is on-site with A/C and amazing amenities like wifi, cable, access to the public pool, paddle-boarding, etc.

There are no food or drink establishments on-site. The closest and best options are the HEB in Burnet. If you're looking for the best burger of your life, don't hesitate to visit Bill's Burger's and Wings. If you're looking for great Mexican food, visit 'EL Rancho. If you're looking for a good ol' Texas beast of a meal that is downright some southern home cooking, look no further than Mama's home cooking. If you want some authentic BBQ, the Shack is is where it's at. The food in Burnet is nothing less than amazing!

Swing by the Thunderbird lodge to rent paddle-boards or a pontoon boat. Go check out the water falls or an island of your choice out on the lake. Go fishing off the dock or a mountain hike with the family.
