Overview

Whatcom Falls Park has been a local's favorite for over a hundred years and you're sure to find plenty of visitors enjoying the multi-use trails and checking out the waterfalls. Make sure to check the circa 1939 Stone Bridge that stand resolutely below Whatcom Falls (signature photo spot). Lower down, Whirpool Falls forms a lovely grotto-eque setting that's also a popular cliff jumping and swimming spot. A small fish hatchery also operates in the park not far from the playgrounds, basketball court, and tennis courts.

Outfitters, Tours, & Shuttles

The park's wide multi-use trails are generally best suited for a pleasant pedal or to connect to nearby Galbraith Mountain. In 201, the WMBC constructed Bellingham's first pumptrack and nearby Grom Pumptrack. Even if you don't ride through the park it's upper parking area provides overflow parking for the north entrance of Galbraith.
