Pueblo

Canon City is located in the climate capitol of Colorado, making the trails rideable year round. This part of the state is a great off-season destination when the rest of the Front Range is covered in snow and you want a little variety from Pueblo Reservoir. Try Oil Well Flats Trail System for some fun singletrack trails with a variety of difficulty and terrain.

Pueblo, Colorado's Steel City (long known for blue collars and green chilis), has recently become one of Colorado's mountain bike hot spots. Lake Pueblo State Park - South Shore Trail Network is THE place to go with a desert like climate and top-notch trail system that features easy cruisers like Voodoo Loop to bone-jarring gravity lines like Steep Tech. With a growing singletrack network of more than 45 miles of trail, Pueblo offers an entire weekend worth of riding and often draws comparison to the world-renowned singletrack mecca of Fruita.

It's possible to ride in Canon City and Pueblo anytime of year. Fall through spring are optimal times.

Lake Pueblo State Park - South Shore Trail Network is a great option when the rest of the Front Range is snowed in or melting.

Lake Pueblo State Park has excellent facilities including multiple campgrounds and picnic areas.

Pueblo has an assortment of restaurants ranging from the standard burger and pizza fare to Indian and sushi.

Royal Gorge Bridge is a classic Colorado destination and is a must-do if you're visiting Canon City. At 956 ft above the Arkansas River, the bridge is one of the world's highest suspension bridges.
