Local Info

Palmer Bike Park has singletrack, DJ, pump track, TTF's, flow trail and BBQ grills! Yeah!

Palmer Bike Park has something for riders of all skill levels and interests, and is centrally located to offer an excellent option for camping, restaurants, and riding. Think of the bike park as the "Hub" of biking in Alaska.

If you live local, you can access the park (located in Matanuska River Park) via the bike path on the Old Glenn, or from either Academy Charter, Swanson, or Sherrod Elementary.

From Palmer you can head to Hatcher Pass to rally shuttle runs at Mile 16 Downhill or ride technical rocks at Goldmint. Come back to your campsite at Palmer Bike Park and go out for beers in downtown Palmer at the Palmer Ale House. Before you head south to the dozens of miles of singletrack in Anchorage, stop by the Matanuska Greenbelt and spin your wheels on nearly 10 miles of xc singletrack and farm roads.

No riding during or immediately after heavy rains. No ruts please! Don't cross the Jump lines.

The flow trail at Palmer Bike Park is easy enough for parents with trailers, but challenging enough that skilled riders can rip the trail with no brakes, air the rolls, and lay it over in the berms.
