After the Ride: Local Favorites

Beach House Cafe This is the best eating place on the beach walk of Portobello. Nice and cozy place. I had a panini and it was good. Good selection of cakes and ice creams.

Nobles Cafe bar & Restaurant Now stocking Black Isle Organic beers. Just delivered cask of Red Kite Ale. Also new are bottles of Organic Blonde and Scotch Ale.
The Shore Live jazz on a Sunday.

Roseleaf Best breakfast in my life! Eggs Benedict with salmon are incredibly tasty! Perfect red cappuccino (similar to chai latte). And pomegranate smoothie is unbelievable!
La Favorita Who would've thought Edinburgh would have such great Italian food?! The tricolore pizza and quadrelli pasta (square shaped ravioli stuffed with braised beef with a mushroom sauce) were both standouts
The Manna House Bakery & Patisserie Great bakery - try the rosemary & rock salt fougasse
Twelve Triangles Those pecan and praline swirls are huge and so worth it. Great coffee, too.
The Gardener's Cottage The only tip I could give would be if you haven't been here then you need to go.
Oink Slightly overpriced and overrated but worth a visit for a filling snack to keep you going while walking around the city.
Itihaas Always excellent! The weekdays lunch set menu is very good value and super tasty.
The Blue Bear Ben and Jemma are LOVELY!! Say hello to them!
Wedgwood Great main course to delight any vegetarian. For the full FT review...
Mimi's Bakehouse The cutest little cafe to stop into after visiting Arthur's Seat. Coconut macaroons are heavenly and the staff is pretty sweet, too!
Fortitude Nice little cafe with great coffee and tea, and always charming and attentive staff. A great find, totally recommended.

Reekie's Smokehouse Brisket, pulled beef, and the dusts on the chips are awesome!
David Bann Vegetarian Restaurant The beetroot/apple/cheese souffle is pretty unique. Interesting range of beers as well.
The Edinburgh Larder Beetroot & Tomato soup & a salmon & crowdie sandwich were delicious. All fresh ingredients and sourced from Scotland. A great wee place just off the Royal Mile!
BBL Genuinely one of the best vegetarian breakfasts I've ever had, the sausages were simply mind-blowing and the prices were extremely reasonable.
Civerino's I try pesto, i can say that it was one of the best spaghetti i ve ever eat!
