Fort Worden State Park

Overview

Fort Worden is a fort built before WWI and updated for both world wars. This is the largest of all of the coastal defense in Washington. It is also the most intact fort, with over a hundred buildings on the property. The fort was home to over 1,000 people during the peek of its operation. The forts guns were scrapped during WWII, like all of the different forts guns. The fort was closed in 1953.
