Overview

Morrow Mountain State Park is unquestionably one of the best place for trails in the Piedmont area of NC. The park has 14 trails of various difficulty stretching 31 miles throughout the park. Additionally, Morrow Mountain State Park has a great diversity of outdoor activities on its 4,747 acres of land which include hiking, camping, paddling, fishing, horseback riding, picnicking, swimming or just taking in the scenery on one of the highest points in the Piedmont. The park has a boathouse on Lake Tillery that offers canoes and rowboats for rent and bait for fishing. Visitors can launch their own craft from a boat ramp on the lake.

Camping & Lodging

The park boasts a family campground with 106 sites for tents, trailers and RVs and is close by a swimming pool with bathhouse. Group camping, remote backpack camping and rustic vacation cabins give more choices for extended stays. The museum is open daily and a CCC-built lodge is available for various types of special activities.
