Overview

At over 1,000 feet deep, Tallulah Gorge is the deepest canyon east of the Mississippi River. Visitors will love riding the rim trails and taking the 600 stair steps to the beautiful Hurricane Falls, the largest of the gorge's five waterfalls. Thrill-seekers can obtain gorge-floor permits for the ability to cross the Tallulah River and rock scramble around Hurricane and Oceana Falls and even go rock sliding at the slick Bridal Veil Falls.
