Description

This forest road is like many of the others in the Jake and Bull Mountain Trail System. You should certainly take Jake Mountain as an alternative unless it's muddy. Moss Hill Road ends at the confluence of the Etowah River and Jones Creek. The last 0.2 miles down to the river is gated, very steep, and rutted, but it can be ridden most of the way down (and then back up). There's a very dilapidated picnic table and nice swimming hole below a large boulder that spans the Etowah River.
