This five-mile trail stretches along the north edge of the Pipestem Reservoir. When made into an out-and-back, it's an easy way to get a lot of mileage as it winds over rolling prairie with a view of the lake on one side and an almost continuous series of trees on the other side.
A pit toilet and bike repair station are available near Pipestem trailhead, which is just a few hundred feet south of the trail's entrance. Toilets are also available at the turnaround near Parkhurst. The trail can be ridden both ways and parking is available at either end.
