Crossover provides a linkage between Cave Run Trail (112) and the paved Zilpo Scenic Byway. It can also be linked up with the Tater Knob Trail (104) and FR 1056 Multi-use Connector for a longer loop. The portion of the trail most frequently traveled is along a ridge top north of the paved road.

South of the Zilpo Scenic Byway current conditions are sketchy due to chronic neglect. North of the Byway, you can ride either the doubletrack gravel road which is in great shape or take your chances on the parallel singletrack to the northern terminus of this trail.
