Description

This fast and flowy trail bypasses the Dogwood Trail Access hike-a-bike on the way up to the campgrounds. The bottom of the trail starts by Y-ing to the left off of the Dogwood Trail Access and then quickly head right to cross back over the Dogwood Trail Access as the climb continues.

The trail is a steady, flowing climb as it travels up past the creek and the Lower Salamander Trail below. After following the ridge for some time, the trail turns left to work its way back south. The trail begins to sweep both uphill and downhill on rolling terrain as it returns to reconnect with the Dogwood Trail Access just below the "T" with the Dogwood Loop. There are minimal technical obstacles and the trail pedals well.

The trail is bidirectional and can be ridden both up and down, and is fun either way! High speeds can be reached on the way down, and there are a few blind corners, so be careful and wary of other riders possibly making the ascent while you're descending.
