Description

From Corvara (Kurfar in German), take the Col Alto chairlift and then, after a short segment, the Braia Fraida chairlift to reach the start of this segment. It is possible to purchase the ticket for both lifts at the Col Alto lift station. This trail is mostly singletrack with a few short, gravel sections. If you are exhausted from the lift ride (or a previous segment of the Sellaronda) there are two rifugi (mountain huts) near the start of this segment.

The segment starts with a gentle climb to, of course, another mountain hut (Rifugio Pralongià). Make sure you turn west at this point or you end up in another valley with a long climb.

From the Rifugio Pralongià, the trail follows a gravel road for a short distance until another mountain hut (Rifugio Marmotta). Just beyond the Rifugio Marmotta, the trail returns to singletrack, which passes through a dense forest on the way down to the Campolongo Pass. At the pass, cross the SS244 to get to the Campolongo lift on the other side for the next segment of the Sellaronda.
