Center Ridge starts with a big climb out of the North Fork Highwood Creek and Thain Creek (#411) to a forested ridge. The steady climb continues, crossing a few drainages that provide a few nuggets of downhill.
The route continues to skirt ridgelines to its highpoint. From there, the trail has a handful of short descents and climbs before it reaches the North Fork Highwood Creek intersection.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
