Description

Starting from Monstein, the Monstein to Weisen route is a challenge. The route starts a steady climb out of the hanging valley to an uphill traverse to the south. After one short respite, the final bit of the climb creeps along a steep mountain shoulder.

From there, enjoy a rowdy downhill in and out of a drainage to another section of steep descending. Dive in and out of another gully, crossing a creek. The final bit is navigating several switchbacks and turns to the bottom.

You'll cross the main valley and take a hard left to pedal into the Davos-Wiesen train station.

If you've got a bit of pedaling left in your legs, you can continue on via the Wiesen to Filasur and the finish of the Alps Trail Davos IMBA Epic.

Don't enjoy the brewery in Monstein too much - save some enjoyment for the tight, twisty, and steep Monstein to Weisen singletrack.
