Description

This is a short but fun trail with epic ocean views. The initial climb is steep but short. Many riders will get off and push up a lot of it. Either way, you are up on the ridge in no time. The singletrack traverses the ridge and then you have an option to go left up Mariposa Trail, or right down Basalt Trail to Quarry Trail. Beginners will be more comfortable going down Basalt/Quarry.

If you like a steep, loose, and technical but enjoyable descent, take a left up Mariposa Trail which connects you to Pirate Trail. Either way, you end up on Forrestal Drive by the Ladera Linda Community Center.
