Description

Desert riding at its finest, located in the Estrella Mountain Ranch community. Parking can be found in the Foothills Community Park, which is not packed for the most part. Other parking options can be found at Westar Elementary School.

Cacti, rocks, and bees do become a normal occurrence on this loop and encourages many to ride tubeless. There are a few sharp turns that require some technical maneuvering and there are some sections where hike-a-bike may be necessary.

Be aware, as other trails split off in many directions and it can be easy to take a wrong turn. This trail has a good deal of exposure along mountain faces, which can become dangerous, but are mostly manageable. There are a few bench spots and sitting areas, which are good for photo opportunities as they overlook the community.

The end of the trail consists of several 3 foot+ jumps with considerable space to gain speed to stick the landing. Look before you leap.

This trail is best ridden in winter - spring. FINS, Estrella Mountain Regional Park, and White Tanks are others to try out in the area.

Not a lot of flow. Great trail to get used to semi chunky track. Lots of quick turns followed by incline. 7.2mi — 5h 39m
