This descent is along the gravel road leading from the Puluhaua Guard Station at the rim of the crater to the farm fields on the crater floor. The road has lots of switchbacks and is in rough condition to keep you on your toes, but you can really let go of the brakes and fly.

The views into the crater are sweeping and epic. I would compare this to the descent into the White Rim in Canyonlands National Park, Utah, USA.

This access road descends about 2,000' in the first six miles so put your seat down, cinch up your helmet and rip!
