Description

Bullfrog Lake Trail connects the upper Bullfrog Lake parking lot to Palos Green Multitrack.

Starting from the parking lot, the trail begins with a scenic wide trail in a grove of trees. The trail pitches downhill then uphill again. Approaching the bottom of a long downhill stretch, check your speed as the trail turns into rooty old wide track strewn with loose rock. The trail turns right and then left across an old stone bridge. Maintain your momentum as the trail begins a rugged climb.

There is a brief respite in climbing before the trail continues to climb. As the trail levels out again, the trail surface will change into widetrack composed of crushed limestone. Bullfrog Lake trail ends at a three-way intersection. The trail to the left leads toward Camp Bullfrog Lake and the trail that continues straight ahead is Palos Green Multitrack.

Riding through the Bullfrog lake trail. The trail opens up very nicely here with fantastic sight lines! And is stunning in fall.
