A good beginner's ride to build strength and endurance for more challenging trails. The resistance of no tread might be frustrating to kids, but overall it's a flat beginner's ride.
This is a state park, so you'll need a vehicle sticker to park inside. Otherwise, you can ride your bike in for free.
Description
This trail is like Satchel Creek Cove Trail and Boulder Bluff Trail, mowed paths through hay fields with no tread. This is a challenging ride if you tack on all the other trails along with it, or ride this one a few times in a row. Heck, maybe you'll help build the tread, and I won't have to work with the lake managers to accomplish this!
You're sure to scare up deer, turkey, quail and other typical Kansas game as this trail gets little use. I didn't see a bit of horse poo on this one either. There's a permanent deer blind up for viewing wildlife...I posted a pic of it, but didn't go inside.
